Ils inventent des revues, des comités de rédaction et publient les articles d'auteurs qui payent quelques dollars (50 à 200 ?). Le blog de Jeffrey Beall liste ce type de prédateurs, et il en a de plus en plus . Probablement plus de 600 entreprises qui publient de 5 à 50 ou plus revues…….
Un autre prédateur a clairement l'objectif de gêner Chest (il s'agit alors d'un pirate) : il s'agit de The Journal of Chest. Voici leur site : "The Journal of Chest on the open access platform after a thorough peer reviewing process. Cette revue demande 300 € aux auteurs pour accès libre (100 € pour accès payant !!) et parmi les institutions qui adhèrent, il y a l'Inserm…. J'en doute… Le charabia sur les APCs (Article Processing Charges) est un rideau de fumée pour chercheurs naïfs..
