In keeping with our other journals, The Lancet Rheumatologywill offer rapid publication of research online. Submissions judged eligible for our fast-track service are peer-reviewed in 72h, and, if accepted, published within 8 weeks from submission (4 weeks from acceptance). Wherever possible, figures and good quality photographs should be used to supplement and to enhance the text. We also welcome videos. All original research is subjected to the Lancet family of journals’ usual rigorous standards of external clinical and statistical peer review, and edited by experienced technical copy editors to the highest standards."

Dans les instructions aux auteurs :

  • la politique de déclaration des conflits d'intérêts est claire et stricte. En particulier, pour les rubriques 'Review, Health Policy, Viewpoint', les auteurs ne doivent avoir aucun lien industriel de moins de 3 ans ;
  • Pas de 'rédacteur médical' autorisé pour ces mêmes rubriques ; si un rédacteur médical est utilisé pour les recherches originales, il doit être nommé, et il doit donner son accord par écrit pour être nommé ;
  • Funding, permission des patients, data sharing, enregistrement du protocole, lignes directrices, 'research in context', cascading dans le groupe, etc…. comme les autres revues de la famille Lancet ;
  • Le peer-review commence par un screening interne, et si OK, envoi à 3 reviewers au moins ; quand vous répondez aux reviewers : 'Two copies of the revised manuscript should be sent back, one ‘clean’ version and another in which changes are highlighted (using the track changes function in Word). Detailed, point-bypoint responses to reviewers’ comments are also required when revisions are submitted.'.
  • Les auteurs doivent choisir entre le 'Green OA', permettant de déposer l'article dans une archive ouverte 6 mois après publication, ou le 'Gold OA' en payant US$ 5000 pour un accès libre immédiat ; le prix est en dollars US pour une revue anglaise ; notons qu'il s'agit d'une revue hybride, alors que certains Lancet étaient en total accès libre, modèle Gold ;
  • 'Authors may be required to provide the raw data for research papers when they are under review and up to 10 years after publication in The Lancet Rheumatology'.

Pour Lancet Digital Health, même topo pour les instructions aux auteurs, mais pas de français sur le board, et un modèle totalement Lancet DH'Gold OA', avec un APC de US $ 5000. Par contre le champ de ce Lancet Digital Health est : Artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, Telemedicine, Virtual healthcare, Computational medicine, Biomedical analytics, Healthcare systems engineering, Data management, storage, and security in healthcare, Clinical engineering, Digital clinical trials, Wearable technology, Mhealth, Precision medicine, Regenerative medicine, Clinical genomics, Disease diagnostics, prognostics, prediction and classification, Biomedical sensors, Bionics, Biosignal processing, Medical robotics, Micro- and nanobiotechnology, Health economics, Digital therapeutics

PS : Sur le board de Lancet Rhumatology : Nathalie Costedoat-Chalumeau, MD, PhD, is professor of internal medicine at Cochin Hospital, France, one of the five French national centers for rare autoimmune and systemic diseases, and is a member of the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) group. She has focused her clinical research and practice for the past 15 years on systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome. Her clinical research deals primarily with hydroxychloroquine and its measurement in blood, adherence to treatment, and management of pregnancy in women with lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome. She has designed and successfully led several national and international prospective studies on lupus, including the PLUS study, the Adherence study, and the GR2 study. Nathalie is also involved with several cohorts and databases of patients with lupus, including a cohort of neonatal lupus that includes more than 250 families.
