Le blog de J Beall a attiré l'attention (mars 2016) sur ces prédateurs qui recrutent des comités de rédaction, et ils semblent très agressifs. Certains d'entre vous reçoivent des emails flatteurs de 'The scientific pages', de ce type :

Ces revues seraient soit-disant faites depuis les USA ; les signataires des emails varient ; les comités de rédaction sont fantômes ; les instructions aux auteurs ont beaucoup d'inepties… par exemples, pour citer les références, vous avez l'exemple pour les références des livres dans des chapitres.. assez fort ! Regardez : 
Il est fréquent de voir des experts sur des comités de rédaction, avec leurs photos d'identité, leurs CVs, alors qu'ils n'ont pas donné leur accord, et même s'ils ont explicitement demandé d'enlever leur nom !
J'ai demandé des infos, et bien sûr, sans me dire que j'aurais à payer pour publier, ils m'ont gentiment répondu ainsi :
